Gezer fared well in the 2014 Succot tournament, winning 2 and tying 1 game. Their play and enthusiasm is to be commended. This was a "beginner's" tournament, to be sure...but there were veteran plays on all sides: force outs, caught fly balls, good baserunning, very good contact (including many extra base hits by the Rehovot players).

In addition, the way Gezer handled themselves on the field, overall - dealing with personal failure, dealing with teammates' failures, dealing with umpires' calls - was commendable. Way to go!!

The Chanukah tournament is but 2 months away, so the preparations will begin this evening...good luck to all!!
