With the rain keeping the field wet during the past week or so, it is still unknown whether Opening Day against Hashmonaim will be played this Friday.

In the meantime - next week is softball week:

2 exhibition games - Sunday at home versus a combined Hulda/Mazor team, Tuesday at Mazor.

Friday - Purim tournament. Game 1 is against Arad. 2 more games will be played against yet-to-be-determined teams.

After that - 4 games in 10 days: Friday March 13 vs Modiin Black, Tuesday March 17 vs Modiin White, Friday March 20 "vs" Jerusalem 2 (at Nes Harim), Sunday March 22 at Yad Binyamin. Will the pitching hold up during that stretch? How will the hitters respond?

This season is to be the busiest ever, with 24 official games on the schedule, and more to be added. So far - 16 baseball regular season, 2 baseball post season, and 6 softball tournament games are on tap, with a Lag BaOmer softball tournament in the planning stages.
