The Gezer Bats jumped out to an early lead on Rehovot and captured a 14-1 victory on Friday at Gezer.

With eight runs in the first three innings, the Gezer Bats left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A wild pitch and a wild pitch in the first inning and a walk by Nehemiah Merdinger, a wild pitch, a two-run single by Itai Dabush, and a two-run double by  Yotam Cohen-Amin  during the second inning fueled the Gezer Bats' offense early.

Yotam reached base three times. He also drove in two runners.

Matan Boltax had an impressive outing against Rehovot's lineup. Rehovot managed just one hit off of B, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Ealley Chorev got it done on the bump on the way to a win. He allowed one run over two innings. Ealley struck out five, walked three and gave up one hit.

The Gezer Bats quickly matched Rehovot's strong inning with a six-run inning of their own in the second.

The Gezer Bats piled on six more runs in the bottom of the fourth. A clutch wild pitch scored Nehemiah to open the scoring in the frame.
